Popular Women's Magazine Covers

mc dec

Notice how all of them talk about sex in a way that should be pleasing to the man.  What does this say about women's sexuality?  That we aren't really supposed to enjoy sex.
Another thing they use to sell issues is trying to tell women that we should always be on some type of diet.  We are always overweight so we should do something about it.  This can give women, regardless of race or economic status, self-esteem issues.

Right on sister. Imagine men having to look at buff men at the check out counter with titles like, "Please your woman," "Lose that Beer Belly," etc... I've written several articles about this subject.

We as men have issues like this also. I just wrote about this in my psyche class. I'll post it here.

And for the record, I do not think that they are say women should not enjoy sex.. If you look around at the media and various "women icons" of today, they are very promiscuous and promote women's sexual empowerment.

"Honestly. I see both as having attacks on their self-esteem. The American media and entertainment divisions seem to be apart of the Orwellian propaganda ministry.

The male is being pushed to have the Arnold-like physique and how no woman will feel attracted to them if not. The normal everyday man does not look anything like that. We're constantly bombarded by how we need to hit the gym and look like that. The best fighter in the world looks like an everyday man, Fedor Emelianenko. Shows you do not have to look like a Chippendale's dancer to be the baddest man on the planet.

The female is being pushed to have the supermodel body. Every single women's magazine assaults the woman's self image to become more skinny, more fit, more more more more.. The ideal of the "real" woman has been changed from a woman who was pure beauty, curvy and healthy looking to being skinny, annorexic looking supermodels being the standard of beauty. I can't get in on why I think this has changed, but I do not agree with it at all. One of the most beautiful women I have ever seen walks around at 150/155lbs at 5'9", Ms. Gina Carano. Compare her to the Supermodels of the world and she'll seem "fat" but she's in better shape than all of them and fights to boot."
